Editorial Reviews

Potential bestseller and history making effort. An authoritative book exhibiting intelligent
balance that is chockfull of very useful practical information. This is a landmark book because
it explores a specific topic not yet treated before in the way or from the perspective it takes. In
a very real sense it’s a history making effort. The book exhibits an intelligent balance of
intended readership. It is an authoritative book that a family will want to own for constantly
available reference. The book is well written and the presentation is very systematic. The
progression of chapters and individual topics is logical. It’s very evident that this is a major
work that is painstakingly organized and presented.

James Strohecker, CEO of HealthWorld Online and executive editor of Alternative
Medicine: The Definitive Guide :
“An important addition to the growing body of literature on
natural medicine, Natural Therapies for Emphysema and COPD provides a much needed and in-
depth approach to natural therapies for chronic respiratory disorders. Highly recommended.”

Vijai Sharma, Ph.D., director of the Behavioral Medicine Center in Cleveland, Tennessee :
“Robert Green Jr.’s book on emphysema and COPD is a landmark work. I recommend it as a
reference book for all COPD patients, families, professionals, and anyone else seeking self-
care tools and other alternatives to complement conventional COPD treatment.”

Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine : “Written for physicians and their patients, the book
describes therapeutic approaches including food and lifestyle choices, nutritional
supplementation, herbal medicine, and alternative methods such as exercise and homeopathy. It
offers physicians and their patients a place to start learning, and hopefully pursuing, alternative,
nonconventional methods to deal with these diseases.”

Ken Koenig, D.C., former executive director of the National Board of Homeopathic
Examiners and president of Wise Woman Herbals :
“Presents a commonsense approach to
managing this pervasive disease through the application of traditional therapies and
conventional wisdom. Firmly based on scientific research and extensive clinical experience,
this text is invaluable to practitioner and patient alike.”

Robert F. Waters, Ph.D., professor of biochemistry and genetics at Southwest College of
Naturopathic Medicine :
“Well written with substantial and accurate scientific evidence. . . .
There is a demand for such information by those suffering from COPD and their families. My
hope is that medical caregivers become enlightened, as well, with this book.”

I think this book was informative, helpful and written with the idea of helping COPD sufferers
and their families. (Unlike some other books that seem to have been written just for the money.)
Mr. Green takes an honest and helpful approach to explaining why and how the condition
effects the body and some very practical ideas to help make living each day better. I would
recommend this as great reading for anyone who has or knows someone who suffers from
COPD.

A Readable Look at the Naturopathic Approach to COPD.  Not having a medical background, I
was impressed with the clarity, readability and organization of the book's presentation, as well
as how exhaustively the subject of COPD was treated.

The book began with a comprehensive explanation of the nature of the disease, proceeded to the
myriad protocols for treatment of the disease and ended with a summary of final thoughts on the
topic. The appendices and the glossary proved useful resources as well.

Overall, the book was a very professional work that added to the general scholarship of COPD
and to my understanding of this very debilitating disease.
